Eighteen questions, two subjects
This quiz splits its eighteen questions between the record book and the rulebook. Twelve are champion questions drawn from the World Series winners of 1995 through 2024. The other six are rule questions built on baseball’s fixed numbers — the counts and measurements the rulebook settles once and for all. The prose on this page names the territory; the answers live only inside the quiz.
| Question type | Count |
|---|---|
| World Series champions, 1995-2024 | 12 |
| Baseball rule numbers | 6 |
Every season involved is complete and settled. No question leans on current standings.
Where the answers come from
Two datasets sit behind the site: one of champions, one of rules. Each was written twice by authors working separately, and the copies were compared entry by entry before question generation began. The champions entries agreed in full at the first comparison. That double writing is the whole editorial method — a fact goes into a question only after two independent attempts at it line up. Team and league names are used here solely to identify the competitions; Final Score has no affiliation with any of them.
The format on the page
Four options per question. Choose one and the quiz marks it immediately, adding a one-line explanation of the correct answer. When all eighteen are done, a review lays out the complete set — question, your pick, right answer. Your best score is stored in your browser and waits for your next attempt. There is no account to make and nothing to install; the whole thing runs where you are reading this.
