American Football Trivia

This football trivia quiz asks 13 questions on the American game: seven on the rules, five on Super Bowl champions, and one cross-sport comparison.

What sits inside these 13 questions

The 13 questions split three ways: 7 on the rules of American football, 5 on Super Bowl champions, and 1 cross-sport comparison that measures the game against the other sports on the site.

The rule questions stick to the settled numbers of the game — the figures printed in the rulebook, not anything that shifts from week to week. The champion questions cover a handful of Super Bowls, each one a completed, settled result. Nothing here asks about the current season or any game still to be played, and nothing in this text gives an answer away.

How the answers were checked

Final Score builds its quizzes from two datasets, and both were written twice. Two authors compiled the champions list independently; two authors did the same for a rules dataset covering the settled numbers of 14 sports. Each pair of versions was then compared entry by entry, and questions were generated only from entries where both copies agreed. The champions dataset — 232 entries in all — matched in full on the first comparison.

Playing a round

Every question offers four options. Choose one and the result comes back instantly: right or wrong, plus a one-line explanation of the correct answer, so a miss still teaches you the fact. After the thirteenth question you get a review of the whole round, question by question, with your picks next to the correct answers.

Your best score stays saved in your browser, so a later visit picks up where your record left off. There is no signup and nothing to download; the quiz runs right here in the page. Final Score is an independent quiz site, and league names are used only to refer to the competitions themselves.
