Cricket Quiz
Six questions on cricket's formats, overs, and wickets make up this cricket quiz — playable here in the page, no signup, with a full review at the end.
The scope: formats, overs, wickets
Six questions. Five of them ask about cricket’s settled numbers — the fixed figures behind its formats, its overs, and its wickets. The sixth is a cross-sport question that lines a cricket number up against another sport’s. Because the quiz asks only about settled rules, no question here goes stale with a new season and none refers to any current series or standing.
Double-written, then diffed
The answers come from a rules dataset covering the settled numbers of 14 sports, and it was not written once. Two authors each wrote the full dataset without sight of the other’s work, and the two versions were compared entry by entry before question generation began. The same double-write produced the site’s champions dataset, whose 232 entries all agreed at the first comparison. Every answer in this quiz survived that check.
