Baseball Quiz
This baseball quiz asks fourteen questions drawn from the game's fixed rule numbers and the World Series record book.
Fourteen questions from the rulebook and the record book
The set breaks down three ways. Seven champion questions come from the World Series record book — a Series is named, and you pick the team that won it. Six rule questions rest on baseball’s settled numbers, the counts and distances the rulebook fixes. One cross-sport question sets a baseball number beside another sport’s and asks you to keep the two straight. Fourteen questions in all, and every season involved is finished and final.
The checking behind the key
Nothing in the answer key was written down once and trusted. The champions dataset and the rules dataset were each compiled twice, by authors working independently, and the paired copies were compared entry by entry before question generation started. The champions entries matched at the first comparison. League and competition names are used on this page only to identify what the questions are about; Final Score operates independently of any league.
Four options, instant verdict
Each question shows four possible answers. Pick one and the quiz marks it on the spot, pairing the verdict with a one-line explanation of the correct answer. When the fourteenth question is behind you, the quiz lays out a review of the full set — what was asked, what you chose, what was right. Your best score is remembered by your browser between visits, so there is always a number to beat. No signup is required and there is nothing to download; the quiz runs inside this page, start to finish.
